Trista is an actor, improviser, and teaching artist based in Vancouver, BC. Born and raised in Northern Alberta, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Alberta and has worked extensively in recreation therapy, education, and with people with neurodegenerative diseases.
She trained and performed as an improviser in Edmonton and Montreal before moving to the west coast. She has performed on stages and in festivals across Canada, and is currently a member of the Spontaneous Shakespeare Company-- with whom she has toured across Canada-- and Embezzlement Comedy. She has produced many original shows and taught improv to children, teens, adults with neurodegenerative diseases, actors, corporate executives, and everyone in between. She is a co-founder and co-director of the immersive theatre company Craft & Bone, a collective that creates original, site-specific works that prove theatre can truly happen anywhere.
Trista is thrilled to have the opportunity to blend her background in psychology and recreation therapy with her passion for theatre and teaching improv. She believes that improv is a force for good, and that helping others do it is one of the best things she gets to do.
